Software Craftsmanship Coach

I coach development teams towards software craftsmanship: test-driven development, clean code, pair programming and continuous delivery, worked on your own codebase rather than on exercises. The standard I coach to is graded and assessed on delivered work rather than on self-report, so a team can tell whether the practice has actually taken hold. I led that work across roughly 1,000 developers on three continents at IBM, and I have been instructor and embedded coach on it inside a Fortune 100 insurer and at Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the Dutch national railway.
